Are your metal gates starting to show signs of wear and tear? There are ways to restore the gate to near pristine condition, just follow these instructions. We’re sure that our advice below we’ll get your gates looking top -notch once again.

Before you do anything, make sure to wear work gloves and eye goggles for protection. Use a drill with a wire brush and start to work it on the rusty spots of the metal gate. This may take a while, so don’t be put off but keep working at the spots of rust until you see it coming off.

Then using rough sandpaper start to sands the gate, focusing on the former rusty areas. Once smooth, use a scrub brush to clean the gate. Dip the brush in a detergent and water combo. Once done, rinse away and then wait for the gate to dry.

Using rust-inhibiting primer, prime that gate and follow manufacturer instructions. After the primer has dried, spray your choice of exterior enamel again following instructions.
