Whilst it is still possible for you to sell and move home during the Covid-19 pandemic, a few changes have been made. There are new restrictions in place to help keep everyone safe during these unpredictable times. Today, we are going to share with you some of the changes that have occurred which still make it possible to move house during the pandemic.
Face Masks Must Be Worn
To enable viewings of homes to take place face masks must be worn at all times. This is of course to help prevent the spread of Covid-19. Helping to keep the viewers, homeowners, and estate agents safe at all times.
Social Distancing Must Occur
Staying 2 meters apart must still continue where possible. You will need to keep your distance from each other during the viewings. It is best if the homeowners leave their homes for the viewing time to give them viewers more space when looking around.
House Must Be On The Market
You can still browse property sale sites. But if you are wanting to book a viewing of a property you are considering moving to, your property must already be on the market. This is to prevent any useless viewings which may be a waste of time to the homeowners and estate agents.
Stamp Duty Cancelled
For the time being the need to pay stamp duty on your property you are purchasing has been canceled. It is looking for this to be in place until April 2021. But moving at this time can help you to save money on the stamp duty fees.
Here are the main four changes you can see in the housing market. Whilst it is still possible for you to move house, there are many restrictions in place. Helping to keep everyone in the house moving market as safe as possible.
